We live in a world of change. Whether at work or at home, life is about change. Sometimes that change is self-directed; other times events force change upon us. What is important is to know your intrinsic worth and to always keep trying. Change is hard work, but it brings hope. Keep hope in your heart and in the hearts of those you touch.

My experience in government and in the private sector has shown me that there are many people who are rich in compassion and idealism. Now, as never before, complex real world challenges present opportunities for the public and private sectors to transform the way they work together. More people can be served responsibly by collaborating across traditional bureaucratic boundaries, connecting with people and organizations outside of government, doing a better job of managing the risk of serving at-risk populations, and by employing proven best business practices. We can do more, better. Leadership meets us wherever we are and we each have a role in making the world a better place.
